CLONARD RESTORATION APPEAL

In the past three years we have completed two phases of a three phase re-development plan of Clonard Church. The first two phases related to the exterior of Clonard Church.

So far the two Church towers as well as the Rose Window have been restored.

The roof has been replaced as well as the crumbling stonework repaired and windows weather-proofed.

To date over £800,000 has been spent, thanks to your generosity and some funding agencies.

Now in phase 3 we turn our attention to the interior of Clonard Church.

The following work needs attention;
repainting of the church ceiling, cleaning and restoration of mosaics,  new heating, sound, lighting, fire and alarm & ventilation systems, a new tiled floor, restoration to shrines, altars and confessionals, redesign of entrance and forecourt to Church as well as some remaining stonework at Church entrance to be restored.

Estimated cost is £1.5 million. We are well on our thanks to your ongoing generosity but have some distance to go yet.
