Well by now we have got used to passing our dearly loved church building boarded up and hidden from view by the entangled array of metal scaffolding erected to facilitate the enormous refurbishment job now being carried out on your behalf. Well I was curious to what was going on behind those closed doors as I followed behind our rector Fr. Michael, armed with his camera, to give us a glimpse of the enormity of the task and the progress so far. The picture show lets you see the amount of scaffolding needed to allow the highly skilled team to carry out the restoration work. Fr. Michael has also captured some of the work bringing our much prized windows and mosaics back to their original beauty.
The work is keeping on schedule and could be completed by St. Patrick ’s Day or latest Easter 2012.
