| A Reading from the Book of Deuteronomy. Moses said to the people; ‘If you fear the Lord your God all the days of your life, and if you keep all his laws and commandments that I lay before you, you will have a long life, you and your children and your grandchildren. Listen then, Israel, keep and observe what will make you prosper and give you great increase, as the Lord God of your fathers has promised you, giving you a land where milk and honey flow. This is the Word of the Lord. |

Opening Prayer: Lord, you have made the bond of marriage a holy mystery, A symbol of Christ’s love for his Church. Hear our prayers for all married couples. May their lives always reflect the reality of that love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Prayer over the Gifts: Lord, may this Eucharist lead us closer to Christ, that we might express in our lives the love we celebrate. We ask this in the name of Jesus the Lord Concluding Prayer: Gracious Father, Lord, by the Eucharist we celebrate, bless all whom you have joined together in marriage. May their love for each other proclaim to the world their faith in you. We ask this through Christ our Lord. |
