THEME: Day Nine:- NURTURING: Mary, our mother and model.

Prayers for the Day

A Reading from the Prophet Isaiah:

This Rejoice, Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you who love her. Rejoice for her, all you who mourned over her. That you may come and be satisfied from the abundance of her goodness, and savour with delight the sweetness of her beauty. Like a son comforted by his mother, will I comfort you. At the sight, your heart will rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the grass. To his servants, the Lord will reveal his hand.

This is the Word of the Lord.

Opening Prayer

Lord, you chose Mary to be the Mother of your Son,
And become Our Mother of Perpetual Help.
May her example inspire us to follow you in faith and trust,
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Prayer Over The Gifts
Lord, receive the gifts we offer
In honour of the Virgin Mary.
May this Eucharist be a source of blessing,
And may our service give you glory.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord

Concluding Prayer

Lord our God,
As we follow the example of Mary,
Our Mother of Perpetual Help,
May our lives be transformed and our hearts renewed.
Help us seek Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life.
He who is Lord forever and ever.
