Prayers for the Day

No first reading today. Just the Gospel chosen and read by the preacher

This is the Word of the Lord.

Opening Prayer

Lord of Light and Mercy,
Your Son Our Lord Jesus came into the world,
To free us from the darkness of sin and selfishness.
May his presence among us
Touch our hearts and lead us to the truth.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.

Prayer Over The Gifts
Lord,
Accept the gifts of your Church.
May this Eucharist help us grow in holiness and faith.
Grant this through Christ Our Lord.

Concluding Prayer

Lord,
In sharing this sacrament
May we receive your forgiveness
And be brought together in unity and peace.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
