Funeral arrangements
Removal from Clonard Monastery, at 5.30 p.m. on Thursday evening (14th
December) to Clonard Church, arriving for the 6.15 p.m. Mass,
Funeral Mass on Friday (15th December) at 11.30 a.m. with burial
immediately afterwards to Miltown Cemetery.
McNIFFE
Please pray for the happy repose of the soul of
Fr. Maurice McNiffe,
Columban Missionary, who died on Friday 27th October 2006. Fr. Maurice
was the brother of the late
Fr. Charles McNiffe, C.Ss.R., of Clonard Monastery, who
died in Belfast in 1997.
On Sunday
29th October Fr. Maurice's remains will be taken to St. Brigid's Church,
Drumkeeran, Co. Leitrim, arriving at 5.00 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday
at 12.00 o'clock followed by burial in the local cemetry.

McKEEVER
Please pray for the happy repose of the soul of Patrick McKeever (late
of Brookvale House, Cliftonville Avenue, Belfast), who died on Friday
22nd September 2006, at the Mater Hospital, Belfast. He was the father
of Fr. Martin McKeever, C.Ss.R. (Rome).
He is mourned by his wife, Catherine, sons and daughters: Mary, Ann,
Gerard, Fr. Martin, John, Patricia, Pauline, Angela, Michael and family
circle.
Requiem Mass was celebrated in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belfast,
at 10 o'clock on Tuesday 26th September, funeral afterwards in Milltown
Cemetery, Falls Road, Belfast.

MULROONEY
Please pray for the happy repose of the soul of Fr. Peter Mulrooney,
C.Ss.R. who died in Cebu, Philippines on Thursday 7th September 2006.
Fr. Peter was born in Gurteen, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary on the 18th August
1912. He professed his vows as a Redemptorist on 8th September 1934 and
was ordained a priest on 23rd September 1939.
During the Second World War he served as a military chaplain in the Far
East.
In 1946 he was appointed to our mission in the Philippines and for the
past six decades he has continued to minister in that country. Over the
years he held the offices of Vice-Provincial and superior and in his
early years he preached parish missions throughout the southern
Philippines. Even though he suffered from ill-health in recent years he
continued to exercise his priestly ministry.
Fr. Peter's funeral took place in Cebu on Monday 11 September.
May the Lord grant him eternal rest and Mary, Our Mother of Perpetual
Help cast her mantle over him.
