The relics arrive from St. Peter's Church and are handed over to the Clonard rector Fr. Brendan S O'Rourke C.Ss.R.

The casket being removed from the specially designed transporter by
Dominic Healy & Sons Falls Road

Clonard priests and stewards headed by Fr. Barney McCahery make their way through the press and crowds to start a long walk along the corridors into the main Church.

The relics now reach the packed Church to be placed on a beautifully carved wooden altar.

Irish dancers wearing their customs lined the casket as the stewards took their place in front of the main alter to provide access for the thousands of people wanting to approach the relics

The priests and brothers from Clonard Monastery were first to touch the relics

The crowds now make their way up to touch the casket starting a continuous stream that was to last all day and throughout the entire night.

The photographs of the event were taken by Maurice Reid and the final one above shows the large crowd attending the arrival of the relics of St.Thérèse of Lisieux
